Punto Banco - also known as Baccarat - usually attracts players who enjoy a certain level of prestige.
Punto Banco has its own magical attraction. Punto Banco is a pure game of chance.
The attraction of this game is the high betting stakes and the fact that the house advantage against the players is one of the lowest of all casino games. The game is based on a simple battle between two parties, the "Player" (Punto) and the "Banker" (Banco).
The gameplay
Punto Banco is played with six packs of 52 cards. The guests can participate in the game sitting or standing at the table. The aim of the game is to reach the maximum value of 9 with at least two but no more than three cards.
As a player, you can bet on either "Banco" (Banker) or "Punto" (Player), as well as on a tie "Tie". The cards are drawn face up for both sides as follows: The 1st and 3rd cards for the "Punto" side, the 2nd and 4th cards for the "Banco" side. If the first two cards of the "Punto" or "Banco" side give the total value of 8 or 9, no more cards may be drawn.
If the total score of 8 or 9 has not been reached, further cards are drawn according to the drawing rules. At the end of the game, the croupier announces the total score of both the "Punto" and the "Banco" players.
If "Banco" has a higher value than "Punto", "Banco" wins. If "Punto" has a higher value than "Banco", "Punto" wins. If both sides have the same point value, the score is a draw and the bets on "Tie" win. The stakes on "Punto" and "Banco" remain unchanged, i.e. they can be deducted or changed. The croupier is in charge of the game, collecting and paying out the stakes.
